Mini final evaluation

Making the "Tardigrade" trailer was very challenging, but then great fun, it really pushed us as a team to use a broad range of skills and showed us the importance of organising, timing, editing and perfection, in order to achieve professionalism. I think we worked really well as a team and used all our skills to contribute to our final production. "TARDIGRADE"!

THANK YOU!!!

Zombie Films title Research

Character Posters

We decided to create some Character posters. We thought it was a god idea to use the same colours palette for all our posters so there is a direct link to all our posters. We also researched that many film posters are consistent with using the same colour or background for their posters. For example...

As seen from above all these posters consist of a similar background, (in this case the city is in chaos with buildings burning down). We looked at World War Z for inspiration for trying to create additional posters.

Magazine cover 1st Draft

Here is our first draft of our magazine. We completed this to a satisfoactory level, we think we can improve with adding our updated title to make synergy with the magazine and trailer. Furthermore, the image does not blend with with the background, we are not going to have to either retake the photo or change the backgrounds so it blends and looks more professional. This magazine was mainly made on Powerpioint, as Powerpoint is limited in what it can achieve; using photoshop should benefit us more with more choices in how to display the magazine.

Governemnt power point

This PowerPoint was used within the trailer when Gabriel (The head of Project 0), tried to win over the government.

Second cut Tardigrade

I feel that our second cut has dramatically improved from the first one as now there is more action scenes with intense music to fit the footage, which makes it more effective and interesting for the audience to watch. In addition, I think the voice overs have worked really well to tell just enough of the story that people will understand, but then not give too much away and leave it on a cliff hanger.

For the final cut, we are going to need to finish the action scenes and discuss how we are going to end the trailer, either dramatic or mysterious. We are also going to have to add in the production details, credits, title, release date and any social media. Overall, I think it is looking really well constructed and is starting to come together really nicely and flow smoothly.

Poster Photoshoot

'Tardigrade' Character Poster Photoshoot

These are some pictures taken on the set of the character poster photoshoot. As a group we decided not to have too many character posters but just for the main characters. These include: Jaden (Dr. Mason Cooper) Seb ( Gabriel Garcier) and my self as (Dr. Amory Shepard). we decided to have a green screen and a light to make it look more professional. The light allowed us to create different kinds of lighting and made the set more brighter. In addition, we used a Nikon camera which created good quality photos and made them look very neat. This in turn made it easier for me to edit on Photoshop as I didn't have to spend a long time taking out the background.
